My Favorite Everyday Eye Shadow Look: Review of two of my favorite eye shadow quads!

Hi guys! Just a quick announcement before I get started on this post. I have decided to post on here once a week. I was thinking Mondays, maybe Tuesdays. I'm going to try and figure out a good day sooo yeah! Look forward to a new post once a week! I want to be on top of this blog

Ok, so today I want to talk about my favorite eye shadow duo!

I am absolutley loving two colors. I put a shadow from my Maybelline Expert Wear Quad in Sunlit Bronze over one cream shadow from my Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow Quad in Not Just Nudes.

First I'm going to talk about the Revlon Palette. This palette comes with (R-L in picture below) a matte nude cream shadow, which I think would be great as a base or to cancel out any imperfections on the eyes. It comes with a shimmery champagne color which I use regularly and is a great all over the lid color or maybe a great high light. Then a matte brown which is a great base and a dark shimmery brown which could be great for a darker night time look. These cream shadows are excellent quality and since I have never tried MAC Paint Pots, I don't know if they are that comparable. But I really LOVE the effect this palette gives and the consistency so I highly doubt I will ever try out the paint pots. I don't understand why everyone was so excited about the Maybelline Color Tattoos as these are just as good and come with a much better color selection.

The color I use for my everyday look:

Over the champagne color, I use the "lid" color from my Maybelline ExpertWear Quad in Sunlit Bronze. It comes with a light shimmery base color, a shimmery copper lid color, a shimmery brown lid color, and a dark brown liner color. I really like this palette and I think it is a great, cheaper, alternative to the Naked Palette because of the colors, but it is not as pigmented of course. Over the champagne, it becomes so much more pigmented and it's orangey undertones are less noticeable. I use a normal eye shadow brush to apply this.

The color I use for my everyday look:

As I said before, these two colors layered over one another is such a simply beautiful shadow look. When worn with mascara, your eyes look simply fabulous. Perfect for a day at school. I have blue eyes and I feel like it really makes them pop.

Top swatch is the Maybelline shadow, underneath is the Revlon cream base, and to the far left is them layered over one another.

Hope you guys enjoyed! Make sure to check back next week for a new post.

Review: Revlon PhotoReady Foundation

Hi guys! Long time no talk! I've been so busy that I completely forgot about this little blog here.

Today I have a review for the Revlon PhotoReady Foundation

This foundation sells for $13.99 at any drugstore, Walmart, Target, or other store that sells Revlon products. It sells in 12 colors ranging from the color Ivory to the color Mocha. Check out the shade selection here. I wear the shade 004 Nude.

I really love this foundation. First off, it comes with SPF 20 in it so you don't need to worry too much about your face burning. This foundation does not seem to break me out so if you have combination skin this is a great foundation for you. I use it almost every day with my Sonia Kashuk flat top foundation brush (picture here). I'd say that it gives medium to full coverage and it lasts half the day. I do go to school and play tennis so it is a little hard to determine the lasting power after a long day of running around and being active. But on the weekends when I'm out shopping or hanging out with friends I'd say it lasts at least half the day.

This foundation has about 1 fl oz worth of product and a pump that dispenses the product. I am personally a fan of pumps on foundations because I feel like it gives the perfect amount of product.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but I used to use the Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup. This is also by the PhotoReady brand from Revlon except it is in a mousse form (picture here). I really loved this because it gave great coverage and did not break me out. It was also super fun to use because of its consistency! But there was one problem that made me switch to the PhotoReady Makeup. The Mousse Makeup literally made me sparkle. I seriously looked like Edward Cullen. People would comments about it so finally I switched over to PhotoReady Makeup and I fell in love with the results. It does not break me out and gives great coverage just like the Mousse Makeup but it didn't sparkle like the Mousse Makeup, instead it gave a great dewy finish which I just touch up with my NYC Translucent Pressed Face Powder.

I hope you guys found this review helpful! I am back for good now guys so expect more reviews in the future.
xoxo... K

Review: Physicians Formula Conceal RX Physicians Strength Concealer

Hey guys! So today I am going to be doing a review on a product that I recently got that I have been lovingggg. I first heard about it from strawberryelectric48 (go subscribe!) and I was in the market for a new concealer. So I went and picked up the Physicians Formula Conceal RX Physicians Strength Concealer (what a mouthful!).

This concealer is amazing! It comes in a tube containing 0.49 oz/14 g of concealer which may not seem like a lot but I have a feeling that this will last me a very long time. I only have to use a very very tiny amount and it will cover all my blemishes and most of my under eyes!

I am in the shade Fair Light. This concealer comes in Fair Light and Natural Light. Fair light is good for people with my skin tone, I am in the shade NC15 in the dead of winter for my MAC concealer if you would like to compare. But it is super easy to blend and I feel it could be used for someone a shade or two darker or lighter than me. But don't take my word for it! I do not know what shade Natural Light is and what skin tone it could be good for but I do know it's darker and I might pick it up in the summer when I get more tan.

I have tried a few high end concealers such as MAC Select Moisture Cover and Erase Paste by Benefit (although it is a bit too dark for me) and I have to say this is very comparable, maybe even better than the two and it is the best drugstore concealer that I have ever tried, and I have tried multiple. I hope that they come out with a wider selection of colors and that it gets more hype than it has been getting because it is a really quality product

Also, tomorrow is my birthday! So yaay!!! But I am currently home sick :( And another off topic remark: My favorite scent my bath and body works, Black Rasberry Vanilla is back out and I am just over the moon! Next time you are at a BBW make sure to smell it because it is such an amazing scent and definitely an all time fave of mine.

Crazy deals!

E.L.F. Nooo not the ones that work for Santa in the North Pole, more like Eyes Lips Face. I really suggest you check out their website. They're a drugstore brand sold at Target. You can find their AMAZING blushes for $3!!!! And other things such as eyeshadows, mascaras, and a tinted moisturizer that works much better than Aqua Smoothers, for that exact price. And I just got an email informing me that their 83 piece Essential Makeup Collection is 90% off!!!!! Now it's only $3.50!!!!! Is that crazy or what? That's a $249 value if sold separately. I think I'm going to ask my mom to pick that one up for my birthday! :)

Stay tuned!

More posts coming soon!
